WELCOME FROM THE MANAGEMENT
At Fiveways we aim to create a happy relaxed atmosphere where children, parents and staff all value, respect and care for each other. We value and respect parents/carers as the child’s first educator and will work in partnership with you to help them learn and develop. We will ask you to share information about what your child enjoys as well as any concerns you may have. The staff team are always here with a smile to answer any questions you may have.
We are registered with OFSTED who require us to provide a balanced curriculum guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage, We believe children learn best from well organised play based activities and this is what we provide. The children are given generous care and attention because of our high ratio of qualified staff to children.
We hope your family will enjoy your time with us at Fiveways.
The playgroup offers a play based early years curriculum for children age 2 ½ to 4. There is a maximum of 52 children during one session, divided into 4 ‘home groups’ named after trees in the grounds. Working parents can opt for additional ‘wrap around’ child care first thing in the morning, over lunch or with the after school club.
For children age 2 ½ to 11, the after-school club picks up children by foot from Downs Infant and Junior School and Balfour Primary School. The club provides a choice of activities and a hot meal.
Holiday Play Schemes
These are run by the playgroup or in a partnership with a playscheme provider depending on staff availability and parental demand. If you are likely to use a school holiday playscheme please let Veronica or Pat know early as this helps with planning.
Valentines Ball, Summer Fair, Fireworks, Christmas Fair, Quiz nights, Summer BBQ, Funday …..
